Welder
Welding is central to industries as varied and important as shipbuilding, automobile manufacturing and repair, oil and gas, and thousands of other manufacturing activities. Welding is also used to join beams when constructing buildings, bridges, and other structures, and to join pipes in pipelines, power plants, and refineries.
Graduating students leave with confidence, skill and pride, as well as a sound understanding of welding methods and techniques needed to keep pace with technological changes in the industry.
This program is recognized by the Apprenticeship and Certification Board as an Interprovincial Trade (Red Seal Endorsed) which allows the holder to work in other provinces /territories without having to re-certify.
This is a 37-week, diploma granting program which includes a 6-week work term.
