Ronald McDonald House NL
“We would like to thank Keyin College for choosing to celebrate its 30 year milestone by supporting Ronald McDonald House Newfoundland and Labrador,” said Gerry Beresford Chair, Board of Directors. “Their financial support will help us build the House and their volunteer commitment will help make it a Home,” he said.
The goal of Ronald McDonald House is to make children receiving medical care and their families feel as comfortable and at home as possible. Home-cooked meals, warm and comfortable bedrooms, welcoming common areas, and play rooms for kids all help foster this type of environment. At the end of a hard day, families need a place to relax and rest their heads. A Ronald McDonald House is that place.
The staff and students of Keyin College worked very hard to fundraise for Ronald McDonald House and were proud to present the final payment representing their efforts. Keyin is very excited to fulfull the volunteer commitment of 2500 hours to help in the operation of the Ronald McDonald House in Newfoundland and Labrador. It’s a great feeling for the staff and students to know that they will make a difference in the lives of children and families from across our province who will come to call Ronald McDonald House home.
Ronald McDonald House will offer a home-away-from-home for families from across Newfoundland and Labrador providing comfortable and affordable accommodations while their children receive care and treatment at the Janeway Children’s Health and Rehabilitation Centre. www.rmhnl.ca
